A Brief History of Time

Following both my father and grandfather into the insurance business, I have at one point or another been an agent, an agency manager, a training director, a pension manager, a vice-president of agencies, and a regional sales director, along with several other positions possessing rather vague and mysterious titles. After acquiring a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Santa Clara, my DNA pulled me into the life insurance profession, and despite my poor study habits in class I now am proud to say that I hold the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, Registered Health Underwriter, Fellow Life Management Institute, and Master of Science in Financial Services. Those who really know me well remain unimpressed.

I now reside in Colleyville, Texas with my wife of thirty-five years. Since my fifth birthday I have lived in Albuquerque, Mobile, Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, Phoenix, Houston, San Antonio, Italy, and Austin, although not in that order. I honestly don't remember the exact order. The important thing is that my two children and grandchildren now live nearby, and I remain active in the field of insurance representing The Ford Group, a marketing organization, with pride and enthusiasm.

All the while I have continued to believe that what the insurance business does for others is noble and worthwhile and that there is no reason for anyone in this profession to be shy about confirming this fact. -DDF

"A third generation insurance man, David Ford tickles the funny bone
about the sometimes somber subject of life insurance, while at the same
time bringing forth information, insight, and motivation.
A good blend and a valuable and fun speaker  and author."
